On December 28, 2021, GEM Co., Ltd. (GEM) held "20 Years of Recycling, Green Future"--20th Anniversary Celebration at its industrial park in Jingmen, Hubei Province. A parallel session took place at Jiangxi GER Industry Co., Ltd. GER 2021 Innovation and Quality Conference & Annual Summary Conference was held concurrently.

The past 20 years saw GEM develop from a small business in Taohuayuan, Shenzhen into a world leading waste recycling enterprise, as well as an advanced international enterprise in the green and low carbon industry. GER is an epitome of GEM's brilliant development in the past 20 years, a typical example of GEM's painstaking efforts over the period, as well as a representative of GEM going out of Hubei for a leap. In GEM, a plant emerged in seven days and a subsidiary went public independently. After more than a decade of development, GEM eventually transformed its technological achievements in the modification of waste plastics and the deep recycling of circuit boards into the core competitiveness of GER.

As the primary power of corporate development, innovation is in the depths of the soul of GER's employees. The conference aimed to fully leverage the role of leading talents, arouse three feelings, cultivate a number of international innovation talents achieving key technical breakthroughs, making major achievements, pioneering industrial development, having good impact on and making significant contributions to the implementation of corporate strategies, and pushing forward the company's "fourteenth five-year" strategy.

Government leaders, heads of financial institutions and representatives from cooperative enterprises were invited to attend the parallel session of GEM 20th Anniversary Celebration in Jiangxi. Among more than 200 attendees were Zhang Shuji, Mayor of the Fengcheng Municipal People's Government; Wang Huabo, Party Secretary of Fengcheng Recycling Economy Park; Chen Yi, Director General of the Fengcheng Environmental Protection Bureau; Pan Yongzhong, Director General of the Fengcheng Tax Bureau; Zeng Guohui, Director of the Administrative Committee of Fengcheng Recycling Economy Park; Wang Xiaoxiang, Chairman of Fengcheng Development Investment Group; as well as executives and production workers of GER.

The celebration began at 8:15 am. Prof. Xu Kaihua, Party Secretary and Chairman of GEM, delivered a keynote speech entitled "20 Years of Recycling, Green Future". He expressed his appreciation for guests' wishes and encouragement inspiring all the employees of GEM! Then Zhang Shuji, Mayor of the Fengcheng Municipal People's Government, addressed the parallel session of GER in Jiangxi. On behalf of the CPC Fengcheng Municipal Committee, the Fengcheng Municipal People's Government and 1.5 million people in Fengcheng, he extended warm congratulations to GEM, expressed his heartfelt thanks for GEM's contributions since its settlement in Fengcheng, and wished GER an early listing and GEM greater prosperity.

Subsequently Zhang presented an award to Lu Huaixing, Director of GER Polymer Research Institute who was selected as a leading talent of GER in 2021. Lu, who has stuck to the production line for 12 years, is one of the few top polymer materials researchers in GER. He has researched on plastic recycling to help GER become an industrial model in this field.

Qin Yufei, Chairman of GER, presented a letter of thanks to Mayor Zhang Shuji, expressing his sincere gratitude for GEM's strong support over the 20 years and Fengcheng's favorable business environment that has helped GER grow bigger. A standardized business environment reflects the optimized functions and high-level services of a government, Zhang said. As corporate reputation is of paramount importance, the Fengcheng Municipal People's Government will continue making all-out efforts to create an innovative, coordinated and efficient business environment and support the development of GER.

At the award ceremony, 5 individuals received the GEM Outstanding Contribution Award, including Qin Yufei, Chairman of GER and one of the first leading talents of GEM; Lu Huaixing, Director of GER Polymer Research Institute; Guo Miaomiao, Ma Lin and Guan Yujun, Vice President of GER. 41 individuals received the GEM Striver Award, including Zhao Jiaxian, Vice President of GER who have worked at GER for 16 years; Gu Xiaosan who has developed the recycled plastic market with courage; and Chen Kemei, General Manager Assistant of GER Jingmen who has been in charge of electronic waste standardization and internal and external management on the production line.

Then GER 2021 Innovation and Quality Conference was held to commend the outstanding individuals and teams in 2021. 8 innovation awards, 22 quality awards, 22 advanced individual awards (including New Star, Outstanding Artisan, Production Model and Executive with Outstanding Contributions), and 7 team awards (including Outstanding Production Team, Production Team with Outstanding Contributions, Outstanding Management Team and Management Team with Outstanding Contributions) were presented.

Dai Ruijiang, CFO of GER, received the individual award for "Business Director of the Year with Outstanding Contributions"; Zhu Daolong, President of GER, received the individual award for "Executive of the Year with Outstanding Contributions"; and Zhou Wen, General Manager of GER Inner Mongolia, received the individual award for "Subsidiary (Branch) General Manager of the Year with Outstanding Contributions".
